Wharfedale Lodge
Turning a Yorkshire Dales refurbishment into bookings
Overview
Wharfedale Lodge & View is an exclusive holiday let in the Yorkshire Dales, sleeping between 4 and 20 people across its green pastures, springs and wildflower meadows. After a refurbishment, the new owners asked us to build a website that would inspire adventurers to book their next stay while ensuring visitors understood what to expect, which facilities were available, and what the local area had to offer.
The Challenge
Following their refurbishment, Wharfedale’s new owners needed a website that could do more than just list the property; it had to inspire people to book, while clearly answering the practical questions holidaymakers ask: what’s included, what the space looks like, and what’s nearby. Many of Wharfedale’s competitors leant on similar green colour schemes, so standing out visually while showcasing genuinely excellent photography was part of the brief too.
The Result
We built Wharfedale a WordPress site designed to let their photography do the talking, using an orange-and-navy palette from their branding to stand out from competitors’ green schemes. The site integrates with booking software so visitors can check yearly availability and book with confidence, with calls to action on every page to keep the path to booking short. Because it’s built on WordPress, Wharfedale can update its photography and add new excursions itself, without relying on us for every change.
