  • 3 Homes Supported through one connected website and recruitment process

Linden Care Homes provides nursing, dementia, residential and respite care across Warwickshire. When Linden approached us in 2019, its website no longer reflected the quality of its homes or the level of care its team provided. We created a new website built around accessibility, reassurance, and ease of use, while also helping Linden improve staff recruitment across its individual homes.

The challenge

Choosing a care home is a significant decision, and Linden needed its website to support visitors through that process without making things harder.

Information needed to be easy to find and comfortable to read for a broad audience, including older visitors and family members researching care on their behalf.

The existing website also didn’t do justice to the quality of Linden’s homes and grounds.

Recruitment was another challenge. Applications were being handled centrally, which could slow the process down and put distance between candidates and the managers who would ultimately be responsible for hiring them.

Linden wanted a quicker, more practical way for each home to manage its own vacancies and applicants.

What we did

  • Website design and development
  • UX and accessibility planning
  • Responsive WordPress development
  • Adjustable text-size functionality
  • Content structure and navigation
  • Photography and video direction
  • Interactive 360° tour integration
  • Online vacancy management
  • Bespoke recruitment workflow
  • Direct application routing to individual home managers
  • Mobile-friendly job applications
  • Automated application handling

The result

We designed a brighter, more welcoming website with accessibility built into the experience.

Visitors were given control over text size across desktop and mobile, while clearer layouts, highlighted information and a lighter visual style made important content easier to navigate. The website achieved a 96% WCAG 2.1 accessibility score.

We also worked with commercial photography specialists to create a new library of interior photography, aerial imagery, drone footage and interactive 360-degree tours across Linden’s three homes, giving prospective residents and families a clearer picture of the environment before arranging a visit.

For recruitment, we developed a complete online application process that allowed candidates to apply directly through the website.

Applications were automatically routed to the manager of the relevant home rather than being held within a central system. This meant managers could review applicants sooner and assess them against the skills and requirements of their own teams.

By putting applications directly in front of the people making the hiring decisions, Linden was able to reduce delays and move suitable candidates through the recruitment process more quickly.

“"Emily has been very responsive to all of our queries and requests. She knows that she is dealing with non tech people when she talks to us and yet manages to make all of our website wishes happen - we would definitely recommend Webforward." ”
